Research & Teaching

Research Assistance: Map & Imagery Library staff are committed to providing 5-star service. Please contact us at mapsref@uflib.ufl.edu for research assistance.

Duplication Requests: Digital images of uncopyrighted maps in the Map & Imagery Library are often used in publications, as book covers, or for events. To request digital images or scanning, please contact the Special and Area Studies Department’s Digital Services Assistant. Fees may apply.

Class/Group Visits: Classes and groups are welcome to visit the Map & Imagery Library. Advanced notice is requested so that the Map Librarian and materials specific to your class/group needs can be at hand. Please email mapsref@uflib.ufl.edu to request a class or group visit.

GeoVisualization: Many disciplines, especially in the Digital Humanities, are using geospatial data visualization techniques to increase understanding and use of their research. While the Map & Imagery Library does not have the staff to create geovisualizations for you, we will assist you in finding the tools you need to do the job. For advanced GIS help, please contact the GIS Librarian, Joe Aufmuth.

For information about computers, software, and GPS units available in the Map & Imagery Library, please see Visitor Information.
